More Control Than Keys Can Ever Provide

Keys get lost, copied, and handed to people who shouldn’t have them. SmartHands Technology installs IP-based access control systems that give you real-time visibility over every door, every credential, and every entry event — from a single office suite to a 50-location enterprise rollout.

How We Implement Your Access Control System

01

Site Survey & Risk Assessment

We walk every door, identify entry points, and map your security zones. You get a written scope with hardware recommendations before any work begins.

02

System Design & Hardware Spec

We design the controller layout, credential strategy, door hardware spec, and wiring plan — tailored to your facility and access software platform.

03

Certified Installation

Our technicians install readers, controllers, door hardware, and low voltage cabling to NEC standards. Every component is labeled and documented.

04

Testing, Programming & Handoff

Every door is tested for fail-safe/fail-secure operation, audit trail logging is verified, and your team is walked through the system before we close out.

Designed Around the Way Your Facility Actually Works

Generic access control installs treat every door the same. SmartHands Technology designs your system around your actual security posture — restricted zones, visitor management, time-based access, and multi-door anti-passback where needed.

Industries We Secure

One access control platform, adapted for the unique security demands of each environment.

Hazmat zone control, contractor visitor management, shift-based plant floor access

Frequently Asked Questions

Proximity cards (125kHz) transmit a fixed ID number with no encryption — they can be cloned. Smart cards (13.56MHz — HID iCLASS, MIFARE) use encrypted data exchange and are significantly more secure. For any new installation we recommend smart card or mobile credential systems.
Yes. Most modern VMS platforms (Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, Hanwha) support access control integration, triggering camera snapshots or recording on door events. We design the integration as part of the initial scope so everything works together from day one.
Fail-safe means the door unlocks when power is lost (used for egress-critical doors, fire code). Fail-secure means the door stays locked when power is lost (used for high-security areas). Door hardware selection is driven by your local fire code and security requirements — we spec this correctly on every door.
A 10-door single-site installation typically takes 1–2 days for an experienced crew. Large multi-floor or multi-building projects are scoped individually with a timeline included in your written proposal.
Yes. We are hardware-agnostic and work with all major access control platforms including SecurAI, HID, Honeywell Pro-Watch, Lenel OnGuard, Genetec, and others. We’ll recommend the platform that fits your environment, or work within your existing ecosystem.
