Proximity cards (125kHz) transmit a fixed ID number with no encryption — they can be cloned. Smart cards (13.56MHz — HID iCLASS, MIFARE) use encrypted data exchange and are significantly more secure. For any new installation we recommend smart card or mobile credential systems.
Yes. Most modern VMS platforms (Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, Hanwha) support access control integration, triggering camera snapshots or recording on door events. We design the integration as part of the initial scope so everything works together from day one.
Fail-safe means the door unlocks when power is lost (used for egress-critical doors, fire code). Fail-secure means the door stays locked when power is lost (used for high-security areas). Door hardware selection is driven by your local fire code and security requirements — we spec this correctly on every door.
A 10-door single-site installation typically takes 1–2 days for an experienced crew. Large multi-floor or multi-building projects are scoped individually with a timeline included in your written proposal.
Yes. We are hardware-agnostic and work with all major access control platforms including SecurAI, HID, Honeywell Pro-Watch, Lenel OnGuard, Genetec, and others. We’ll recommend the platform that fits your environment, or work within your existing ecosystem.
